These are not your standard Amusement Park Caricatures that are rendered in 5 minutes while you wait. All work is created with care in our studio. Depending upon how complicated your idea, a few hours can be spent on your drawing. This will figure in your price.

HOW MUCH DO WE CHARGE?

Well . . . We cannot give you an answer until we know:

Do you want this FLATTERTOON CARICATURE given to you on paper or through computer?

COMPUTER - no shipping costs apply and color is less time consuming so the price is lower. (These would be suitable for print artwork, logos, website art, etc.)

PAPER (Shipping and handling costs apply but you have a tangible hand made art piece you do not need to printer to enjoy).
Do you prefer Color or Black and White?
What size do you prefer?
Head and shoulders or full body?

Anything in the drawing you would like to add? (Extra time is involved for cars, boats, buildings, logos, etc.)

People in specific cars, boats, planes, etc. require big heads/little bodies. That is not our style but we can do it.
FOR COUPLES AND GROUPS:

How many people in the drawing? (include pets) Couples? Groups? Size of the paper has to be considered if it's a large company group/team drawing.

Do you want individual drawings of your team or group? So each person gets their own solo drawing?

(Price will be lowered per drawing)

What will each person be doing? (Be specific) Don't just say: "He's the most unique" or "She has the best eyes." That means nothing to us.

Again: People in specific cars, boats, planes, etc. require big heads/little bodies. That is not our style but we can do it.

Will you want copies drawn for both or all persons depicted in one picture?

  • Please Note: Copies are as time consuming as the originals. Unlike Amusement Parks and Xerox machines, we do not duplicate drawings by hand in minutes.
  • Please multiply your price by the number of copies you require. . . . or have one drawing made and then go to KINKOS. (It's cheaper)

REMEMBER "K.I.S.S.!" KEEP IT SIMPLE, STUPID!!!! -- If you are planning to design this caricature by committee, please remember that LESS IS BETTER/QUICKER/CHEAPER!

OFFICE INPUT AND TOO MANY INSIDE JOKES generally make the drawing a COMPLICATED, CONVOLUTED MESS and a difficult/tedious chore for the artist.

Stick with 2 or three concepts, please. Please don't ask the entire office for input and opinions. 3, 6, 12, 20 people will give you 3, 6, 12, 20 ideas that will clash and won't make sense visually.

AND REMEMBER: THERE'S ALWAYS THAT ONE BOZO IN THE OFFICE WHO WILL BE AFRAID TO OFFEND THE PERSON IN THE DRAWING! They are the gutless ones who have you revising your concept until all the humor is sucked out of it.

Keep them out of the designing process. BLIND THEM IF YOU HAVE TO. It will be cheaper in the long run.

What is your deadline? . . . Give us at least two weeks notice. Not "by this Friday."

3. We fax or email your pencil'd ROUGH sketch for your approval. You are allowed three MINOR changes (as opposed to total revisions) before additional costs apply.
